Acá dejo mi ultimo invento con LITTLE BIRD!
REsulta que me compre un cd de DIVA de edicion USA, y lo esucho, y en el tema de Little Bird, me di cuenta q es distinto al que tenía yo en el cd de Argentina !!

Alguien una vez en el foro oficial comento algo al respecto!

Pude ver a JUANA MOLINA y realmente estoy sin palabras!
un show magnifico, espectacular y luego pude entregarle una de nuestra VIRGENES POP! y sacarme una foto con ella!

Juana salió y tenía en su muñeca izq el mini rosario pop que tenía en la caja, muy tierno ese gesto, dijo q le encantó la Virgen!

El nuevo Beth Ditto EP sale el 8 de marzo y tiene ya video estreno de 'I Wrote The Book'.

El 17 de febrero se estrenó el nuevo video filmado en Londres, en el Hotel Grosvenor, en blanco y negro, Beth dice que sacó inspiraciones de Madge de los videos "Vogue", "Erotica" y "Justify my love", el cual es hermosamente una combinación muy prolija.

Esto por supuesto es un proyecto de colaboración que ha estado trabajando con Simian Mobile Disco y hasta ahora todas las señales apuntan a un proyecto excelente.

"Trabajar con Beth Sinceramente, no podía haber sido más divertido. Básicamente, comenzó a donde lo dejamos con 'crueles intenciones' y fue más profundo en territorio discoteca psicodélica. Hemos intentado que sea muy cruda y simple, al mismo tiempo que se centra en brillantes melodías de Beth." SMD

El video fue dirigido por Price James, quien anteriormente trabajó con tanto chisme y SMD.

QUEEN OF SOUL & SISTERS ARE DOING IT FOR THEMSELVES

La 53 entrega de los premios Grammy empezó el domingo su gala televisada con un homenaje a la reina del soul Aretha Franklin, que envió un mensaje al show agradeciendo todas las oraciones de sus fanáticos.

El show fue a cargo de cinco voces espectaculares, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, Florence Welch (de Florence and the Machine), Martina McBride y Yolanda Adams, me gustó muchísimo y amo a estas 5 mujeres es por eso que hago este post!

El mensaje de Aretha al final de la performance fue este:
"Gracias chicas. No puedo explicarles cuán emocionada estoy. Quiero agradecerles a todos aquellos que se tomaron el tiempo de enviarme cartas de buenos deseos y flores y lo más importante, sus oraciones durante mi hospitalización. Yo hubiese deseado estar allí con todos ustedes esta noche, pero como no puedo, será para el próximo año ¿ok?", dijo la reina del soul.", en un mensaje grabado enviado a la Academia, donde, visiblemente más delgada, agradeció todas las atenciones de sus seguidores durante la convalecencia de su enfermedad, que no develó.

Con la introducción de LL Cool J, el primer tema que cantaron las cinco mujeres fue “Natural Woman.” y luego Christina Aguilera cantó “Ain’t No Way", Martina McBride cantó “Until You Come Back To Me,”

Florence Welch cantó "Think”, Kate Hudson cantó “Respect” y Yolanda Adams cantó “Spirit in the Dark.”

Para luego entonar las cinco nuevamente el tema que Aretha hizo con Eurythmics (Lennox - Stewart - Franklin) en el año 1985 "Sisters Are Doin It For Themselves".

Realmente te deja sin aliento esta presentación, realmente creo que fue una de las mejores presentaciones de toda la ceremonia, junto a Mick Jagger! fue lo unico que me gusto de toda la ceremonia!

Annie Lennox performed a cover of Stevie Wonder's 'Blame It On The Sun' during the benefit concert on February 9, 1986, at The Royal Albert Hall in West London for the victims of the recent volcanic eruption at Nevado Del Ruiz in Colombia, where 25000 people died.
Then Annie Lennox and Chrissie Hynde (singer of The Pretenders) made this fantastic version for KC & The Sunshine Band's 'Give It Up'.

After the competition closed, a shortlist of images was sent Alison and Will to judge. The images with the highest number of votes were included in the shortlist. El álbum Spice llegaría el 4 de noviembre de 1996. Sale al mercado y debuta directamente en el número 1 debido a la gran expectación. El álbum fue producido por dos dúos (por un lado Absolute y por otro Stannard & Rowe), y todas las canciones estaban co-escritas por las chicas. Spice vendió casi 2 millones de copias en el Reino Unido para Navidad y alcanzó la friolera cifra de 24 millones en todo el mundo meses después. New Musical Express le dio una puntuación de 8/10, diciendo: «Sí, en cinco años no significará nada, pero hoy día significa todo».

La fama de las chicas seguía y seguía. En noviembre de 1996 son invitadas a encender las luces de navidad de Oxford Street, en una euforia colectiva de los fans que inundan las calles de Londres para ver a sus ídolos. Es la primera vez que las chicas empiezan a tomar conciencia de lo realmente famosas que empezaban a ser.
En diciembre de 1996 Spice Girls ganan los premios de Mejor Grupo Británico, Mejor Debutante y Mejor Video Pop por Say You'll Be There en los premios de la revista Smash Hits, elegidos mediante votaciones de los lectores.

En diciembre se lanza la balada 2 Become 1 que consigue llegar al número 1 de Navidad. Cuando sale a la venta, entra directamente al primer puesto, permaneciendo en la cima durante tres semanas y en total 19 semanas en lista. El single incluye una remezcla de Wannabe del prestigioso DJ Junior Vasquez. Según New Musical Express: «Spice Girls no sólo han conquistado el pop de 1996, también lo han renovado».
En enero de 1997, las chicas reciben cuatro nominaciones para los premios más importantes de la industria británica, los Brit Awards: Mejor Grupo Británico, Mejor Debutante, Mejor Single por Wannabe y Mejor Video por Say You'll Be There. Y un mes más tarde, en febrero, las chicas se alzaron como las ganadoras absolutas de la noche, llevándose a casa dos premios: Mejor Single por Wannabe y Mejor Video por Say You'll Be There.

En marzo de 1997 se publica el doble single Mama/Who Do You Think You Are, el día de la madre en el Reino Unido. Se convierte, como no, en otro número 1 instantáneo, liderando la lista por tres semanas y haciendo que Spice Girls sean el primer grupo británico en llegar al primer puesto con sus cuatro primeros singles. Por ese entonces, el single Wannabe es certificado Oro (500.000 copias) y después Platino (1.000.000) en los Estados Unidos

En abril de 1997 se presentaron en Londres su primer libro oficial, Girl Power!, escrito por ellas mismas. Incluye partes individuales, fotos exclusivas, un especial sobre su disco, cuestionarios, etc. Con una tirada inicial de 200.000 copias tan sólo en el Reino Unido, se convierte en éxito mundial y es traducido a veinte idiomas, incluyendo el ruso y el tailandés. El libro viene de la mano con su primer video en VHS oficial de las chicas: Spice - El video oficial, volumen 1. Vende más de 500.000 copias sólo en el Reino Unido. En España rompió todos los récords, vendiendo 300.000 copias, cuando por lo general los videos musicales llegan tan sólo a las 30.000.

So...I’ve been to Berlin several times over the last few decades...

So...I’ve been to Berlin several times over the last few decades...since the Seventies, when the wall snaked it’s way between East and West, defining the tension between the Iron curtain. At that point, the city of West Berlin was a beleaguered island, surrounded by Eastern Germany. It almost seems inconceivable today. But twenty years after the fall of the wall, everything has changed.

The one thing I feel I don’t have enough of in my life is ”time”....Time to do so many more things than one life can experience in one body. If I had more time I’d go to Berlin, and visit all the museums and art galleries and places of historic interest..and I’d love to experience Washington, Paris, Rome.....( don’t even get me started!)
I’ve never been to Pompeii, or Nagaland, or Argentina....or Machu Pichu, or the Grand Canyon, or Mongolia, Romania, Istanbul, Egypt, China, Tibet, Iceland, Greenland.....India....To be frank, I could really do with a massive gap year..or many gap years, to sort of “fill in “ the gaps..But that could be never ending!

Just imagine if they could invent an incredible 3D over view/inner view of the world, where we could see everything taking place in the entire globe at a glance, including everybody’s story lines..the past present and future. What would “reality“ look like then? A giant cosmic soap opera perhaps?
Honestly..I think we have our own blinkered versions of what we hold “reality” to be...and we forge ahead with that, expecting everyone else to follow in the footsteps of what is commonly deemed to be “right”... And so it goes..I’m “right” you’re “wrong”...the perfect recipe for eternal conflict and human tragedy. In a dumbed down culture of any type, it’s not a great picture to be honest...Next step..growing my own carrots and potatoes and going back to the land...who’s got green fingers amongst us?? A handy resource in future times I’m sure!!!!

Doppelgänger (vocablo alemán para designar al doble fantasmagórico de una persona viva) es una de las canciones del disco Sima (2008). La autora del video para esta canción es la artista visual Lupe Marín, especializada en cuadros al óleo, en su mayoría retratos con un tono íntimo y a la vez inquietante, ilustradora y fotógrafa. Para realizar este video trabajó con los miembros de la banda en una sesión de fotos muy informal, y luego compuso cuadro por cuadro aplicando dibujos encima y trabajando cada foto con diferentes técnicas de collage y retoque digital.Lupe Marín es artista de la galería Van Riel.

Ladies and gentlemen it gives us great pleasure to reveal for the first time the cover artwork, tracklisting and details for Annie Lennox's forthcoming album A Christmas Cornucopia.

'A Christmas Cornucopia' and new single 'Universal Child' will be simultaneously released on 15th November 2010. All of Annie's income from 'Universal Child' will be paid to the Annie Lennox Foundation,” Annie's own charity that raises money for charitable projects supporting and educating women and children in Africa with HIV/AIDS. One of the most successful, iconic and talented artists of the late 20th century is back – and back like you’ve never heard her before.

On November 15th 2010, Annie Lennox releases her sixth solo album. A Christmas Cornucopia is a collection of new, inspired interpretations of 11 traditional festive songs, rounded out by a new Lennox composition, Universal Child.

“All the income that I earn from Universal Child will be paid to the Annie Lennox Foundation.” The Annie Lennox Foundation, the stars own charity, raises money for charitable projects supporting and educating women and children in Africa with HIV/AIDS.

“I’ve known these songs, these carols all my life, I’ve sung them since I was little,” says the songwriter and singer of The Holly And The Ivy, Silent Night, The First Noel and other, less-widely-known songs such as Il Est Ne Le Divin Enfant, and Lullay Lullay. “ They’re just in me. They’re a huge part of my life. So it’s not an arbitrary selection. Those relationships with those pieces of music were there intrinsically before I approached the recording.”

The music on the album was mostly played by Lennox, in collaboration with co producer Mike Stevens, and recorded in his southwest London studio – at the bottom of his garden. But to achieve the resonance and vibrancy that were integral to Lennox’s ideas for these re-energized reboots, the pair also worked with a 30-piece orchestra at Pinewood Studios. And they travelled further afield too: to South Africa, to record with the African Children’s Choir, a remarkable organization with which impassioned campaigner and activist Lennox has long had a relationship.

“There are 34 different choirs. They’re like a big extended family – the people who work with them, their careers, are called aunties and uncles. And it’s so precious – if you asked them, as we did with these eight and nine year olds, ‘how is your life different now that you’re in the choir?’ They would say things like, ‘Now I get really good food to eat.’ Or, ‘Now I wear nice clothes.’

“I had met them several times before, through 44664 (Nelson Mandela’s HIV AIDS foundation) – we had this ongoing connection, and I felt that if I was to record any children’s voices it had to be theirs.”

A Christmas Cornucopia is no sweetly packaged selection box. As befits its title, it offers an abundance of songs – drawn from British, French and German traditions – and a host of ideas. On Lullay Lullay, “a lullaby I’ve known for years and the darkest carol I think,” Lennox draws direct links between the Nativity and the plight of Africa’s child soldiers. “Lullay Lullay alludes to the killing of first-born boy children by King Herod… and going back more deeply into the story of the song, I kept getting images of child soldiers in my head…The violation of children is endemic in many so places. Even though this carol is ancient, the brutality of the subject matter is just as relevant today.

Vibrant but vintage, classic and contemporary, glorious but with a polemical edge – notably in Universal Child – A Christmas Cornucopia also marks the beginning of Annie Lennox’s relationship with Universal/Island.

“The Island team were so enthusiastic, and so excited to be working with me, and I was blown away that they felt like that. It feels very energized, and fresh and new. And that’s a great feeling for me.”

Así es la revista ANOTHER crea KM3D-1 es una creacion junto al artista y cineasta Baillie Walsh, se estrena en Londres en la galería London’s Haunch of Venison en el London Fashion Week, es una colaboración pionera que reúne moda, el arte y el cine en 3D.

Un video en blanco y negro , optimizado para la web, se mostrará en anothermag.com el 17 de septiembre.

La película reúne a Kate Moss y Baillie Walsh, por primera vez desde su película holográfica, que se proyectó en la famosa final del otoño de Alexander McQueen / invierno 2006.

Con la actuación de Moss como una diosa mitológica que está destruyendo su propia imagen a través de una explosión de cientos de pequeños cristales, la película fue rodada con cámaras Phantom estado de la técnica-especialmente construidas para el proyecto para crear un bonito efecto 3D en movimiento súper lento. Junto con la película, que se revela amplia adopción de materiales, incluyendo imágenes de Kate Moss y el equipo en acción. Con una toma extra de pieza exclusiva que se puede ver en la página web de Swarovski.

La obra original en 3D a todo color se presenta como una instalación de video arte de inmersión en la famosa galería London’s Haunch of Venison, organizada conjuntamente con Beefeater 24. La instalación estará abierta al público desde septiembre 17 a 18.

Las gafas 3D que permite ver KM3D-1 en cualquier pantalla digital se incluyen en otra revista número 19, a la venta del 16 de septiembre.

Este lanzamiento también marca la primera vez que los cristales de Swarovski serán llevados ante la vida a través de 3d película.

El 8 de noviembre de 1982 Love Is a Stranger sale como el quinto sencillo de Eurythmics, para su nuevo album "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" (1982) y al igual que sus predecesores, fue inicialmente un fracaso comercial, aunque más tarde se convirtió en un éxito mundial, cuando sacaron en enero de 1983: "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)".

Producido por David A. Stewart y Williams Adán en Chalk Farm. La canción es con arreglo up-tempo con movimiento caja de ritmos y sintetizadores varios (siempre bajo, líneas melódicas y efectos de sonido), incluyendo el Omnichord Suzuki, junto con las armonías vocales estridentes Lennox multi-track y está salpicado de gruñidos vocales de "uh!" de Stewart. El single fue re-lanzado en 1991.

El single fue dirigido por Mike Brady, en la que Stewart actúa como chofer de una andrógena Lennox, quien interpreta el papel de una prostituta de clase alta. Durante el transcurso del video, Lennox quita una peluca rubia rizada y la vemos con su cabello pelirrojo, por debajo. Esto causó controversia en los EE.UU., como alguna gente piensa erróneamente Lennox era un travesti masculino.

La gran y una de las primeras tapas trucadas en el mundo de la musica es esta de Grace Jones, la del album Island Life fue el primer álbum recopilatorio de Grace Jones lanzado en 1985 con canciones de sus álbumes Portfolio, Fame, Warm Leatherette, Nightclubbing,Living My Life y Slave to the Rhythm. Ninguna canción de Muse fue incluida.

El álbum fue un gran éxito en el Reino Unido (alcanzó el número #4 en la lista de álbumes del Reino Unido en diciembre de 1985), con "Pull Up to the Bumper" (#12 en el UK Singles Chart) y "Love is the Drug"(#35) como una versión editada y un remix.!

La tapa fue creada por su ex marido Jean-Paul Goude, publicada en la revista New York en 1978. El imposible y agraciado arabesco es un montaje de imágenes separadas, siguiendo las ideas de Goude en crear ilusiones creíbles.

I'm back from Oz and happily enjoying some summer today in merry ol england. 28 hrs of traveling! my god jetlag is like mental torture! anyway, the gigs were wonderful and we had so much fun, thank you for that. you aussie audiences are a good looking lot are'nt you?! each venue was so unique. there will be something for you to see of the tour very soon, sorry i know im a bit slow with all this stuff but i hope you will enjoy what we have put together.

Hello everyone

Sorry i haven't posted for a while but i've been lying low as very sadly my mum passed away. It's been quite hard to keep focused and it's been rather strange carrying on touring but I'm doing what I love to do and my gorgeous band mates have all been very supportive.

We had a really amazing time in america and mexico and we're really enjoying the festivals here in europe. You've made it so special and memorable for us !

We've just come back from Melt Festival in Germany whch was great fun and in a lovely location. We swam in the lake after the show which was heaven !

Cant wait for the next gigs. I'm stopping off in Hong Kong on my way to Australia, I've never been there before so I'm really looking forward to seeing the city. I've already booked a restaurant (my stomach loves to plan ahead!).

For those who are coming to the itunes festival I hope you enjoy the show.

Antony and the Johnsons lanzará su nuevo álbum, "Swanlights", el 11 de octubre en el Reino Unido y Europa a través de Rough Trade y 12 de octubre en América del Norte a través de Secretly Canadian. 'Abrams' al mismo tiempo lanzará una edición especial de "Swanlights", que incluirá el CD dentro de portada de un libro de 144 páginas duro que contiene pinturas de Antony, collages, fotografía y escritura. El álbum sólo en la versión de "Swanlights" en Secretly Canadian y Rough Trade incluirá la canción "Flétta", un dueto con Björk. El álbum y el libro son una continuación del trabajo de Antony explorarando su conexión con el mundo natural.
